First ever book in Hebrew about Prog, which calls for a cellebration! Breitman, a young and avid Prog enthusiast, has been active as a publicist on the Israeli Prog scene since a few years and his web site (www.mitkadem.co.il) has been a major source of information for the Hebrew speaking fans, especially the young ones. In his book Breitman gives a comprehensive overview of the genre based on a historical journey from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s till now. There is a chapter about Prog in Israel, the new global Prog community based on the Net and a chapter devoted to a musicological analysis of the genre. All in all a fine introductory work, which can definitely serve as a source of information for the young generation of people, who discover the magic of Prog now and need some enlightement on the subject. Highly recommended, provided one can read in Hebrew of course.
